Early contributors to the Sui Name Service (SuiNS) community have received a major reward as the network launched an exclusive airdrop for its most active DAO members. The move recognizes loyal supporters and strengthens SuiNS’s growing role in on-chain identity and decentralized governance within the Sui ecosystem.
Sui Name Service Distributes 7.6 Million NS Tokens to Early DAO Voters
Sui Name Service confirmed the distribution of 7.6 million NS tokens to over 95,000 early DAO voters in an announcement on October 31, 2025. The airdrop targeted users who consistently participated in governance proposals between November 2024 and June 2025. Rewards were issued as staked tokens, instantly providing recipients with enhanced voting power and eliminating the need for separate claiming steps.
~ 7.6M $NS were sent to 95k+ voters
This equals to the previous 5 proposals' rewards pools combined, distributed as staked tokens with boosted voting power

Unlike most token drops, this program required no gas fees or claim transactions. Eligible wallets could view their staked tokens directly on the official SuiNS voting portal at vote.suins.io, minimizing security risks and improving accessibility. The allocation structure favored long-term and early contributors, giving higher weight to users who voted earlier and more consistently in DAO proposals.
According to SuiNS developers, the initiative aims to reward engagement while boosting community governance participation. The staked distribution model encourages holders to remain active in decision-making, strengthening the protocol’s decentralized foundation.
Strengthening Onchain Identity and Governance on Sui
Since its launch in 2024, Sui Name Service has become a core identity layer within the Sui blockchain. It connects wallet addresses to human-readable “.sui” domains, integrating social identity with governance functionality. This system now powers DAO voting, organization profiles, and decentralized community pages across the network.
The protocol has recently expanded with staking incentives, sub-name communities, and integrations with SuiPlay and Cetus Protocol, Sui’s leading decentralized exchange. These updates enhance interoperability across the Sui ecosystem, allowing users to link their digital identity with trading, gaming, and community engagement.
SuiNS described the airdrop as “just the beginning” of a long-term effort to merge identity, governance, and reputation under one unified framework. By rewarding early DAO participants, the project aims to create a more community-driven digital identity network, setting the stage for broader innovations across Sui’s growing DeFi and Web3 landscape.
